a PGA member since 1995 and NJAPGA Vice President 1999-2000 with many state and national awards to his credit, he currently teaches at the Raritan Golf Range. Jim teaches from the ground up to insure proper fundamentals and excellent balance throughout the golf swing. He works to bring out the positive attributes in every golfer.

Karen Haake is a graduate of William Paterson University and The Art Institute of Atlanta, Karen has taught Beginning and Advanced Watercolor the past 10 years for the Piscataway Board of Education.

Hatzenbuhler, Nicole Theriault
Nicole Theriault Hatzenbuhler was born and raised in the province of Quebec in Canada in a French-speaking family. Most of her education was in a French-speaking school except for her University degree (Ph.D. in chemistry) from McGill University in Montreal (English-speaking). After an exciting career of 28 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a synthetic medicinal chemist, Nicole is excited to share her native French language with the community.
Hillard, Harry
Harry Hillard has owned and operated a photography/video production studio in Somerville, NJ since 1998; specializing in portrait and portfolio work as well as product and catalog work. His film/video experience includes serving as an assistant director on network television programs, national commercials and feature films such as "Moscow on the Hudson" with Robin Williams; "Ghost Busters" with Bill Murray; "Falling In Love" with Meryl Streep and Robert DeNiro and "Sentimental Journey" with Jaclyn Smith. As an independent filmmaker, Hillard has produced and directed short narrative films, numerous industrial and corporate videos including a recruitment video for a large NJ medical center that reached an international audience. He earned a master's degree in film making at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and currently teaches film theory and video production at Raritan Valley Community College.

Stacy John has spent the past five years living in both Florence, Italy and Cannes, France, initially studying and later working. She has immensely enjoyed perfecting her language skills while soaking up the wonderful Mediterranean culture and sun! She is eager to share her experiences with the students at the Jointure.

Keller, Joel
Joel Keller was your office's "IT guy," who just happened to be a part-time freelance writer. In early 2006, he decided to go full-time freelance, and hasn't looked back. His "main gig" is with the AOL blog TV Squad, where he writes about TV and interviews actors, producers, and writers. He has also written about pop culture, food and travel for The New York Times, Radar, New Jersey Monthly, Cinematical, and The Huffington Post, among other publications and websites. He also wrote for a retirement community newsletter, so it's not all glamor and celebrities; though he did once interview a woman who lived next door to a teenaged "Lenny" Bernstein. Joel is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the Television Critics Association.

McClew, Barbara
Barbara McClew is a certified Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College, North Ridge, CA. She is owner/trainer of Superior Dog Academy, LLC, of Somerset. Barbara endorses positive training through positive reinforcement. This method of training encourages canines to want to learn and at the same time teaches the owner how to communicate clearly with their pet. Barbara currently volunteers with local animal rescue organizations and the 4 H. She is a member of the APDT (Assoc. of Pet Dog Trainers) and the ASCPA.
Melofchik, Michael
Mike's passion for woodworking began years ago with a painted fireplace mantle. After 5 layers of paint and years of neglect were removed, the piece was restored to a beautiful natural wood color--his love of finishing was born. Over the years, his passion for craftsmanship has been enhanced by learning from master craftsmen such as Frank Klausz, Stephen Proctor, and Bill Hylton. Mike's knowledgebase and experience continue to grow with each new project. Mike is a member of the following organizations: * The Furniture Society * The American Association of Woodturners * Central Jersey Woodworkers Association * Atlantic Shore Woodturners Mike has also participated in the Freedom Pens Project, a volunteer organization which shows support to American troops overseas by providing custom hand-crafted pens.

Linda's 10 year professional Chinese teaching experience includes the Kean University MBA program, and private students in the corporate and residential sectors. Linda has also taught English as a Second Language in a community setting. Linda holds a BS in Information Technology from University of Maryland, and Masters in Information Technology from Drexel University. Linda has traveled extensively to China and Japan. Linda is also an executive leader at the Asia Pacific Network at Merck, an organization dedicated to professional development. Robert Sawran has over twenty years of experience in the not-for-profit community. Mr. Sawran has supported and developed programs centered on recruiting, acknowledgement and retention of volunteers in volunteer-driven organizations. Also skilled in the training and support of staff as well as the support of individuals with developmental disabilities, Robert presently serves as Volunteer Coordinator at Care Alternatives.

Valis, Georgeanne
Glenn & Georgeanne Valis have been teaching and promoting Country Western line dancing for over 20 years throughout Central New Jersey. They are the Head Instructors for the Colorado Café, NJ’s premier Country Western Dance Club. Glenn and Georgeanne offer instruction in both line dancing and partner dancing. They themselves compete in couple dancing and have placed as high as Second in the Diamond Showcase Division at the World Championships. They enjoy coaching and choreographing for other dancers and competitors and for years worked with Junior dancers. One of their couples was Grand Champion at the age of 10. They have choreographed several popular line dances including Going South, Barn Dance Stomp, Rocky Top, Hillbillies and most recently The Possum Trot, for the New Jersey Conservation Foundation. Their line dance Thunderfoot, is danced nationally and was featured as one of the top 100 line dances by the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville.
Vinson, JaNeen
JaNeen has had the wonderful opportunity of studying with several voice instructors at Orange High School in New Jersey, The Rutgers Summer Arts Institute in New Brunswick, Mannes College in New York and Montclair State University in New Jersey. While attending Orange High School, she entered a statewide Opera competition and won the Governor’s Award for performing a duet in Porgie and Bess. Shortly thereafter JaNeen was accepted into the Rutgers Summer Arts Institute, a program designed to provide supplementary training for musically gifted students. Years later she received private instruction in singing and songwriting at Mannes College and was introduced to the field of Music Therapy at Montclair State University. Music Therapy is the use of music and musical activities to accomplish therapeutic goals that help to restore, improve, or maintain mental, emotional and physical health. Under the guidance of a licensed therapist JaNeen completed a practicum at Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital in Wycoff, NJ, an observational study at the Jardine Academy for children with Cerebral Palsy and Downs Syndrome in Union, NJ and entry level coursework in therapeutic techniques at MSU. JaNeen Vinson currently resides in Branchburg, NJ and is employed at Montclair State University as the Assistant Coordinator of Auditions for the John J. Cali School of Music.
