The Dianne Lewis

Memorial Scholarship Fund

Dianne Lewis was the first of two children born to Manfredo and Josephine DiGirolamo. She has one brother, Michael, who currently resides in Las vegas with his wife, Christine, and her nephews, Gino, Trevor, and Nickolas. Dianne grew up in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Bound Brook, NJ in 1979. Dianne was very much a part of her daughters' and their friends lives. Most would call her their "second mom" or "cool mom".  She attend all games and activities that her girls were involved with even to the point of supporting those outside the family that thought of her as their second mom. She spent many years as the director of cheer leading for pop Warner in Bound Brook. Her favorite sport to attend though, was softball, which is where she met the Love of Her Life, James Lewis Jr. 32 years ago. She took pride in her husband's career with the United states Marine Corps. She was very involved with the Marine Corps Wives Association. She enjoyed the Marine Corp Ball that they attended every November.

Dianne began her career with The Jointure for Community Adult Education while her daughters were in Jr. High School. She enjoyed her career and all of the coworkers that worked with her during her 25+ years there. She always said they were her second family. Dianne was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Brooklyn to visit family as often as possible. She loved to listen to Elvis, walks on the beach, and especially time with her many grandchildren, extended family members, and friends. Her daughters were very close to her and included her in their daily lives. They enjoyed the advice that she provided as they became moms themselves. Her courage and strength as they grew up was an inspiration and aspiration as they started their own families. Dianne has a special bond with her grandchildren. She enjoyed being part of their lives including, dinners and trips to Las Vegas with Lacey; attending school functions and their yearly girls trip with Kaylee and Angelina; spending quality time and arts and crafts with Ava; and watching her grandchildren grow and become adults.

She leaves behind her beloved husband; James, daughters; Natalie and husband Robert of Dunellen, NJ., Kim of Bound Brook, NJ, her brother; Michael and wife Christine of Las Vegas, NV., 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 nephews, cousin and friends.

May her memories give comfort to all that loved her so dearly
